I've been told that I enjoy being the center of attention. While I can neither confirm nor deny that statement, I can say that standing in a room sharing my passion and knowledge with others is invigorating!  I love my work - whether that's talking about how we can get more of our K-12 students into college or cheering on our AmeriCorps members who are giving a year of service to their country.

Please spend a few minutes looking around this site and let me know how I can help you or your organization reach their goals.  I promise that the content will always be the center of attention!

Popular Winter Workshops and Trainings from FBC

For College Students: Leaving your Legacy - Each year, student-run organizations and programs have to navigate the transition to new leadership.  Now is the time to focus on preparation for that transition - not waiting until everyone leaves campus for summer break.  This session walks students through creating a framework to transition their leadership position for the upcoming fall semester.

For Nonprofits
Rewarding your Volunteers - National Volunteer Week is a Congressionally-approved week held in April of each year where nonprofit organizations can show their appreciation to their volunteers.  This workshop focuses on how best to show that appreciation.  What can you do to thank those individuals for giving of their time?  Services are also available for organizations looking for event/program planning around volunteer recognition.

For K-12 Schools & Youth Programs
Preparing for College - This time of year finds thousands of high school seniors applying to college, completing the FAFSA and looking for scholarships.  This is a complex, bureaucratic process - fraught with companies looking to take your money to do things that are absolutely FREE if you know what you're doing.  This presentation can be geared toward any age of student and/or parents & teachers.  Find out how to navigate the process and ensure higher education goals are achieved.

For Alternative Break Programs:
Reflection and Reorientation - As students prepare to volunteer around the country and world during spring break, an important piece to focus on is the post-break learning and celebration.  We can provide many options for you from providing keynote speeches, planning events and facilitating dialogue.

For All Organizations
: The end of many organizations' fiscal year looms as Fall turns into Winter.  Grant-writing is always a great idea that many of us can never get to because we're too busy DOING the work to spend time FUNDRAISING for the work.  As you prepare your 2012 budgets, let's work together to find a way to lessen the pain. We're happy to research and complete grant proposals large and small.
